Before leaving Oklahoma, we stopped at two super cool Route 66 Museums and stopped into meet the inspiration for Mater…I knew he was a character, but I was not expecting the 30 or so bikers inside the shop nor that he’d be singing. We stayed for a few minutes and continued on into Texas where we got to see the inspiration for Ramone’s. We quickly went to The Amarillo Zoo and then to Cadillac Ranch armed with spray paint!!
