Seconds With Steff

If you know anything about seventh grade Stephanie, you know I loved two things more than anything: a boy whose eye I never caught and Danielle Steel books. Summer’s End setting was at times in Carmel by the Sea. Deanna meets Ben in front of his beach house. Walking the beach, I looked for the house imagined to be Ben’s. I am fairly certain I found it although it is difficult to see over the dune. Also got to watch some surfers for a while.

Deanna also has lunch with Kim at the Pine Inn, so of course that is where I am staying. Please remember, I said that they dined here, perhaps if they had stayed here, I would have known there is no air conditioning in what could be possible be considered the smallest room ever, but it was still a lovely hotel with so much history as it was the first hotel in Carmel by the Sea.
