Seconds With Steff

I have talked about the Hollywood sign before, but nothing, and I mean nothing could prepare me for the first time, my eyes got their first sight of it.

Sabrina and I drove Mulholland Drive to the Jerome C Daniel Overlook above the Hollywood Bowl. The winding walkway to the left led to a landing had steps that led us to a landing. I kept my head down as I walked, so I wouldn’t see it before I could have a full view. When I lifted my eyes, without warning, I began crying…and not a gentle tear here or there, full on Oprah-ugly cry! Completely overwhelmed!

The day after the first view, Sabrina and I decided to go get a better view. I found a website (link in my arms up picture) that gave us driving directions to get the best pic of the sign without hiking. We definitely we not supposed to be there as a security guard directed us to a different road. But we got amazing pics!

Then 2022 when I did the Secret Stairs of Hollywood hike and got even more amazing pictures! And of course the pics where Hunter and I parked on Beechwood Canyon, ran out into the middle of the road, and took fast pictures… all perfectly safe…yup…perfectly safe!
