Disneyland

To enter this park is to walk in Walt’s immediate footsteps. You enter the world he created…his immediate vision, and sure, it has changed and grown over the years, but there is just something special and different about this park. It took me a hot second, but I really do love it now. I first went in 2019 during my first trip to California. I able to go for just a day with my friend, Sabrina who had met up with me from Vegas, Then in 2022, I worked for almost four weeks from California and lived for three of them in Anaheim, so i was able to go to the parks for three days and Springs whenever I really wanted to. Later that summer, Hunter and I took an unexpected road trip down Route 66 and ended in Disneyland! Some of my more important thoughts about Disneyland:

The perfect breakfast is at The Holly Jolly Bakery at the end of Main Street USA. Get a cup of coffee and a Mickey Macaroon…good lord….This cannot be found anywhere on Disney World property and it is DIVINE!

Disneyland’s Pirates of the Caribbean is better! Not bout adoubt it! It’s longer, has a legit drop, and you go through the Blue Bayou restaurant. It’s just a super cool experience!

Small World façade is gorgeous. We really missed out in Orlando! They also have an additional 12 characters from their respective countries like Cinderella in France and Aladdin in Morocco.

The Churros are stupid good in Land…like 10000000% better than World…No contest

The Haunted Mansion’s Nightmare Before Christmas overlay is awesome! It will never come to Florida because Disney feels World is potentially a once in a lifetime trip for many whereas Land is treated more as a day park with locals making up the majority of the guests.

Characters

One of the funnest things about Disneyland/California Adventure is that characters just roam free. You’re walking and minding you own business and suddenly, there’s a princess or evil queen or superhero. These are not meet and greets or photo ops, but just them walking around. And I am just slightly ashamed to say that I spent a good five minutes chasing…I mean walking with Aurora.
