This trip began germinating when I began working at Dime. Thanks to a 1950s banking regulation, I am forced to take ten business days in a row of vacation. With ten days plus weekends, Hunter and I can do some serious exploring.
My first thought was to drive The Lincoln Highway, but the more I researched it, the more I realized that I need more than two weeks to do that trip, but there is a WONDERFUL review on YouTube of which I watched all seven and a half hours, and I was riveted. So maybe one day…
When I abandoned The Lincoln Highway, I started to think and think and think. I finally consulted My Ride or Die and when presented with The Great River Road, Border to Border, Pacific Coast Highway, The Road to Nowhere, Appalachian Trail, and The Atlantic Coast, Hunter immediately went for PCH!
So, here we go… 15 days from Seattle to San Diego with National Parks, Theme Parks, Movie Locations, Zoos, Aquariums, and a Horak ahead of us.
PS – I know Mary Farrell and Brenda Griffin will want to watch the Lincoln Highway video, but seriously… everyone… it was long but worth every second!!!
And if you know enough to ask…yes, we will going to Carmel. No, we will not be getting Greek for dinner… ;-/
