Hunter watches a show called Animal Atlas which featured The Shedd Aquarium and a very special sea turtle named Nickel who lives at the Shedd Aquarium, so the moment I announced that we would be going there, I was taught all about Nickel and his odd float.

On a plaque on Nickel’s tank: “Why does Nickel swim rump up?
A near-fatal collision with a motorboat left Nickel with lifelong buoyancy problems. While she can’t live in the ocean now, she’s thriving in this reef. Her story reminds us that human actions affect animal’s lives.”
