The strangest Con yet!! With the writers’ strike having JUST ended and in the midst of the actor’s strike, it was what we dubbed – Comic Con Lite.
I didn’t even have an Whedon encounter because I forgot to pre-register for the special panels … I didn’t even take pictures of cosplay.
That being said, I went to two amazing Playbill panels: Back To The Future and Death Note

Back to the Future
Death Note – So there I am … standing on line … talking to random strangers, and the producers of the show start examining the line… I mean it is 9:30 am at Comic Con and this extremely well put together older woman is surveying the line… she HAS to be a producer. We make eye contact.. I smile… she smiles back… and I think, there is no way. I ask a few people around me and they aren’t sure either. We enter the room and I take my seat, practically directly behind her. She is standing watching the people file in, and I can’t help myself:
Me – Excuse me, ma’am?
Her – Yes?
Me – I don’t think you are but if you are and I don’t shoot my shot I will hate myself forever, but you are NOT Ellen Greene.
Her – I am not Ellen Greene. I am Jana Robinson, look me up.
While I am frantically googling the people around me are talking to her now that I have opened the door.
Me _ Ma’am you have an Olivier! (she has a Tony as well)
Jana Robinson – Yes, I know
I also went that evening to the listening party. Let me say this woman has a hit on her hands if it ever comes to Broadway as it was in concert on the West End for ten days.
