We have arrived at The Mother Ship!
The San Diego Zoo!
I have a ridiculous amount of pictures that I will post of animals and some of Hunter and some of Hunter with animals…
As soon as we got there, we took a 30 minute double-decker bus tour of the zoo. Getting a few for the zoo was a really great way to start the day because it’s massive and honestly, not laid out very well with lots of hills and a weird flow.
We waited online for 45 minutes to see the giant panda, which was totally worth it cause it’s probably the only time in our lives we will ever see a giant panda.
It was really hot and Hunter had some issues waiting for the giant pandas, but we rebounded really well and when we were done with the zoo Hunter wanted one last spaghetti and meatball meal in Little Italy.
As I write this, we are sitting in the San Diego airport awaiting our flight! I am so exhausted, I almost don’t have words for it. But these two weeks have been amazing! Hunter, who struggled so much last year, did exceptionally well with very few behaviours. The places we saw, people we met, and experiences we had were something I will look back on in the coming weeks to try to digest. I’m also so lucky I got to spend time with my east coast transplant. Disney was an even happier place than normal because of Joe.
After I’m home tomorrow and sleep a little, I will do a whole reflection, link all the pages correctly, and review what worked and what I want to change next year.

Once again, Hunter’s faces! So much engagement and happiness! That plate of spaghetti looked amazing! Hope you both sleep well every night for the next month!
